Soo….I was just informed of possibly the largest occurence of bitchassness in my lifetime.

THIS GUY wackalpha, better known as @iamcutdacheck on Twitter, is the offender.

Why you ask?

Let me start by saying that a very good friend of mine is quite possibly one of the best up and coming photographers to hit the scene. He had the opportunity to shoot for Lil Kim at her party last night in Miami.

In the spirit of fun, my friend tweeted his experience at the party for his followers to enjoy, yet for some reason this sh*t starter took it upon himself to violate the Twitter-code and retweet some of those spirited comments directly onto Lil Kims twitter page.

*blank stare*

Just one look at this guy’s profile pic told me everything I needed to know about why he pulled such a bitch move! He’s clearly an aspiring photographer himself, shooting half-naked photos in the mirror and what not.

This is hating at its finest…a true testament of the ‘crab in barrels’ mentality that keeps us as black people from progressing. Instead of supporting his supposed brother (they’re members of the same fraternity) he uses a social networking site to jeopardize his career! In the words of three six mafia…KILL YOURSELF!!!!

Which brings me to my next point…WHY ON EARTH WAS THIS DUDE FOLLOWING LIL KIM?!Who even knew she was on Twitter???

Did I miss something? Because the last time I checked, Lil Kim had a reality show on BET, one of the many signs that your career has gone down the drain and nobody gives  a f*ck about you!!!!

That my friend even had to go through such drama and foolishness over a has-been artist still trying to stay relevant BLOWS me! That one of his so-called brothers put him in this predicament in the first place DISGUSTS ME! And that I even had to spend moments of my day blogging about Kim Hoi Choi’s wack ass party in Miami PISSES ME OFF!

To my boy: …get your money…fck these bitch ass niggas who want to hold you down.

@iamcutdacheck…You already know what to do (KYS)

To all the Lil Kim stans that had something to say about this situation…take @iamcutdacheck’s lead….we wont miss you.

That is all……….

IMUS: Racist or Misunderstood? June 24, 2008

Don Imus is at it Again!!!

In the latest controvery, Don Imus is under fire for his remarks about Dallas Cowboys player, ‘Pacman’ Jones.

Check it out here

Now I must say…I’m going to give Donnie the benefit of the doubt this time. Maybe, just MAYBE he really was trying to be sarcastic to bring awareness to racial profiling. But honestly, WTF was he thinking? I get that he’s trying to pay reparations for his ‘nappy headed hoes’ comments…but he is absolutely the last person that needs to be speaking out for the black community. He had to know that anything he would say would be misinterpreted. I dont really feel sorry that his comments are coming under fire because he should have run as far away from that conversation as possible. Genius.

I will say, however, that I think people are being a little hypersensitive this time around. Granted, Imus has a track record of racially insensitive comments, but when you really look at the context of the conversation, I could totally see how he may have been trying to make a point. As a matter of fact, I’m almost certain that he meant no harm with these comments, after the fallout he experienced last fall, he’d have to be an absolute idiot to suggest on the air that black people are criminals. Give the guy a little credit…he cant be THAT dumb.

Lets use our heads here people. Not ALL white people are out to get us. Its really not that serious. And, I’d like to point out that Al Sharpton is all over this already…that alone should tell you that its a joke. Al is probably already blackmailing Imus and his radio network for donations. What a hoax! Lets not buy into it this time. Its not worth the fight.

Racism In America: We Still Got It June 23, 2008

Washington Post: 3 in 10 Americans Admit to Race Bias

According to this Washington Post article, published yesterday, 3 in 10 Americans admit to race bias. Key word..ADMIT. I’d be willing to argue that the number is considerably higher, but since when is it cool to admit that you have racist feelings?

I remember in high school, we took a trip the Museum of Tolerance, which pays tribute to the Holocaust victims and survivors. At one point during the tour, we were asked to pick a door to go through. One door had ‘Prejudiced’ plastered across the frame, the other said ‘Not Prejudiced.’ Naturally everyone (including me) headed for the ‘Not Prejudiced’ door, only to find that it was locked. Nobody could go through that door because, essentially, nobody is free from prejudice in some way, shape form or fashion.

This resonated with me because I realized at that point that no person is truly free from prejudiced or racist thoughts. Regardless of the intent behind it, I think we’ve all at least thought something rude when the Asian man cuts you off on the road, or when you’re trying to order food at McDonalds but your order gets jacked up because the person behind the window doesnt speak English.

Racism is still alive and kicking in America. Obama did an excellent job of explaining this during his speech in Philadelphia a few months ago, but unfortunately it seems to have fallen on deaf ears. Racism is something that plagues our country, and despite how unpopular it has become to be openly racist, the sentiment is most definitely there. I find it interesting, but not surprising, that more people were not willing to admit it during the study referenced in this article. Maybe they all need to take a trip to the Museum of Tolerance and get the same rude awakening that I got.

Yes, I’ve had racist feelings. Yes, I’ve thought rude things about people of all races and ethnicities (including my own). Am I a racist? Absolutely not! But that doesn’t excuse me from buying into the stereotypes and negative feelings that American culture conditions us to embrace. The sooner my fellow Americans acknowledge and accept this painful fact, the sooner we will be able to get past the racial tensions that hold us back, and move on. The movie ‘Crash’ depicted it the best. Our subconscious prejudices direct our behavior more than we realize.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out in this historical presidential election…

Al Sharpton- The Great Black Joke! June 20, 2008

Lil Wayne has recently lashed out against Al Sharpton on his a track called “Misunderstood,” which is featured on his platinum selling album “The Carter III.”  For those of you who do not follow hip hop or are not huge Weezy fans…here is some of what he said during his 10 minute rant:

“You see, you are no MLK/ You are no Jesse Jackson/ You are nobody to me/ You’re just another Don King with a perm/ Just a little more political/ And that just means you a little more un-human/ Than us humans/ And now let me be human by saying/ F**k Al Sharpton and anyone like him.”

I must say….I couldnt be happier that someone finally said it. Am I the only one that is absolutely disgusted by Al Sharpton? He is the biggest joke of the world to me! And the perm doesnt help matters. Who could possibly take him seriously?

Its no surprise that he is being accused of using his political prowess to blackmail corporations into contributing to his foundation. I personally believe every word of the accusations, especially considering the fact that he picks and chooses which issues he wants to march about. He made all that noise about the Jena 6, but when that handicapped girl was tortured, raped, and almost killed in West Virginia he did ABSOLUTELY nothing.

So of course, because he’s SO mature…he issues this response…or non response to Lil Wayne:

“While some of the rappers don’t like the fact that Rev. Sharpton has been leading marches against the degradation of women in music, a Gallup poll released last week revealed that Rev. Sharpton has a 50% approval rate among African-Americans. So why dignify a response to one rap artist who doesn’t even say anything substantive,”

Ummmmmmmmm did I miss something? Because I dont know ANYBODY that thinks Al Sharpton is a positive representation of African Americans. And, a 50% approval rating something to brag about? That really means that MOST people dont fuck with you. AT ALL.

Its embarassing because he is the loudest representative of Civil Rights and to me, he embarasses the entire race with his stereotypical, wack ass perm and his inability to articulate. People may not like Lil Wayne, they may think he’s disrespectful and ignorant…but for once, I think Weezy hit the nail right on the head. Al Sharpton is nothing but a political version of Don King. Using the Civil Rights Movement for profit and making a joke out of the very issues his predecessors fought and died for.

So lets stand with Weezy and say it loud: F*ck Al Sharpton!  Say it with me! Better yet, get a shirt made! I hope the  FBI nails his ass….

The White Nigger: Charlie Sheen’s Racist Rant! June 19, 2008

Soooooooo Charlie Sheen had some words for his ex-wife Denise Richards.

Check it out here

And in the words of AOL:

“On Wednesday, a three-year-old voicemail that Sheen left for Richards was made public, in which Sheen calls Richards, among other insults, a “f—— n—–,” despite the fact that she’s not black.”

Now ok…why exactly did AOL feel the need to point out that Denise Richards is not black…as if the only niggers in the world are black folks??? Granted the slur has been typically used exclusively to describe African Americans…I personally  know a whole lot of NIGGERS who are not black.

So, in my quest for enlightenment as to why the author of this article believes that only black people can be niggers, I visited…and look what I found:

Nig-ger: Slang. Extremely Disparaging and Offensive. a person of any race or origin regarded as contemptible, inferior, ignorant, etc.

Well, looks like Charlie Sheen was more educated than the idiotic author that wrote this article. So now Charlie Sheen is doing damage control, apologizing to his black friends and the black community. Personally, I really dont give a shit that he called her a nigger. I’m actually HAPPY to hear the term transcend beyond us ‘common black folks.’

I feel like a part of the reason the n-word has been pigenholed into a slur against blacks is because we accept it. So, lets stop. Starting today…(and in honor of Juneteenth) walk up to every white person you know and say ‘what’s up my nigga!.’ Watch them squirm then bust out laughing. If only they knew that some of them are niggers just like us…ha!

Michelle Obama: Not your ‘typical’ Black Woman June 18, 2008

Check out this article in the New York Times today…

Michelle Obama Looks for a New Introduction

Michelle Obama’s eyes flicker tentatively even as she offers a trained smile. As her campaign plane arcs over the Flathead Range in Montana, she is asked to consider her complicated public image.

Conservative columnists accuse her of being unpatriotic and say she simmers with undigested racial anger. A blogger who supported Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton circulates unfounded claims that Mrs. Obama gave an accusatory speech in her church about the sins of “whitey.” Mrs. Obama shakes her head.

“You are amazed sometimes at how deep the lies can be,” she says in an interview. Referring to a character in a 1970s sitcom, she adds: “I mean, ‘whitey’? That’s something that George Jefferson would say. Anyone who says that doesn’t know me. They don’t know the life I’ve lived. They don’t know anything about me.”

Now her husband’s presidential campaign is giving her image a subtle makeover, with a new speech in the works to emphasize her humble roots and a tough new chief of staff.

Read More here

I guess I’m confused about how and WHY Michelle Obama needs an image makeover. In my opinion, Michelle Obama is an excellent role model for young women to aspire. Definitely the type of black woman I’d like to see sitting in the white house: educated, sophisticated, driven and passionate. So often we see these caricatures of what a black woman is supposed to be like…and the media often glamorizes that false image. I think what really pissed me off was this statement, made surprisingly by one of Michelle’s close friends:

It’s such uncharted waters,” said Verna Williams, a Harvard classmate and friend. “In a sound-bite era, where you have to come with a quick and dirty take, she doesn’t fit what it means to be an African-American woman.

Ok…so what exactly does it mean to be an African-American woman????? Can an African-American woman not be Harvard educated? Is she not well poised, well spoken, well dressed? Does her ass have to be hanging out in order for ‘whitey’ to accept her?

Ok so the whitey thing was way harsh…and might I add that entire rumor is laughable. Nobody I know even uses that term, so I’m fairly certain that Michelle never used it. Its just a prime example of some of the challenges that Barack and Michelle are going to run into in this race. This is the most sophisticated example of an African-American couple that society has ever seen, and I guess its just too big of a pill for some people to swallow. An educated black woman? No way! Cant be! So lets attack her for being ‘too black’ and try to create an image out of her that, frankly, I just dont see.

I dont know…I guess I’d just be interested to hear some perspectives on what her friend meant by not fitting the mold of an African American woman.

Usher Sounds off on Lesbians…. June 17, 2008

Usher and his wilderbeast, i mean...wife...

“Men don’t want to commit. Women have started to become lovers of each other as a result of not having enough men.”

Well, well, well….It looks like Ursher is taking some heat for some comments he made about why women have become lesbians…

So I guess I can understand why some people might be offended by his comments. It is extremely egotistical and pretty sexist…but I do see his point.

Lets not pretend that EVERY lesbian was born that way. I will not deny the fact that there are probably a great deal of people in the gay community that were genuinely born gay and did not choose their lifestyle..but that is NOT the case for everybody.

I feel like this is especially the case for women. Women who have been abused, molested, or overall distrusting of men due to different events in their life do tend to turn to women for comfort. I say this from personal experience, as I have had a few friends that fit into the above category.

Then you have chicks who think ‘girl on girl’ is the new fad…they do it because guys like it…or possibly because they are curious. They probably love d*ck just as much as I do, but since ‘everybody else is doing it’ or some dude convinced them that it was cool, they decided to experiment with another girl. Do these people count as being gay? What about people who have threesomes…are they gay? Can we not argue that this is in fact a CHOICE to participate in a gay activity for the sake of popularity or pleasing your man?

Most of the outrage I’ve read over Usher’s comments is the indication that being gay is a choice. I personally believe that this is the case in some instances, and it DOES do people who are genuinely gay a dis-service. I’ve always felt like bisexual people and people who are gay for periods of time then suddenly turn straight again (think Samantha’s gay escapade on Sex and the City) severely damages the argument that people were born this way. What makes a bisexual person so special that they get to have both, while the rest of us have to stick with one or the other? C’mon, seriously. Can you REALLY argue that bisexual people were born bisexual? If the answer is no…then is that NOT a choice to play for both teams???

But back to the issue at hand…

I’m sure that Usher was trying to say that men can be responsible for the disillusionment of SOME women, who turn to other women for comfort. This obviously isnt the case for everyone..but get out of your feelings for a quick second and try to put the comments in context. I doubt he’s dumb enough to believe this is the case for EVERYONE. But there is some validity to his point…and some very legitimate reasons that he MIGHT, just MIGHT….really believe that sexual preference is a choice.

Not saying I agree…just keeping it real.
